high Nessus Plugin ID 190095

Synopsis

An application installed on the remote host is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

The version of SolarWinds Platform installed on the remote host is prior to 2023.4. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the solarwinds_platform_2023_4 advisory.

- The Network Configuration Manager was susceptible to a Directory Traversal Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows a low-level user to perform the actions with SYSTEM privileges. (CVE-2023-33226, CVE-2023-33227)

- The SolarWinds Network Configuration Manager was susceptible to the Exposure of Sensitive Information Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows users with administrative access to SolarWinds Web Console to obtain sensitive information. (CVE-2023-33228)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to SolarWinds Platform version 2023.4 or later.
