Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of sudo installed on the remote host is prior to 1.8.23-10. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2024-2447 advisory.

 - 2024-02-22: CVE-2023-42465 was removed from this advisory. (ALAS2-2024-2447)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'yum update sudo' to update your system.
