Synopsis

The remote Red Hat CoreOS host is missing a security update for OpenShift Container Platform 4.10.60.

Description

The remote Red Hat Enterprise Linux CoreOS 4 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2023:3216 advisory.

- Incorrect handling of the supplementary groups in the CRI-O container engine might lead to sensitive information disclosure or possible data modification if an attacker has direct access to the affected container where supplementary groups are used to set access permissions and is able to execute a binary code in that container. (CVE-2022-2995)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHCOS OpenShift Container Platform 4.10.60 packages based on the guidance in RHSA-2023:3216.
