The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates for python-urllib3.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2024:0300 advisory.

- python-urllib3: Cookie request header isn't stripped during cross-origin redirects (CVE-2023-43804)

- urllib3: Request body not stripped after redirect from 303 status changes request method to GET (CVE-2023-45803)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL python-urllib3 package based on the guidance in RHSA-2024:0300.
