Synopsis

A backup application is affected by an authentication bypass vulnerability.

Description

The Arcserve Unified Data Protection (UDP) Agent running on the remote host is affected by a path traversal vulnerability. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via a specially crafted message, to upload arbitrary files to any location on the file system where the product is installed.

Solution

Apply updates in accordance with vendor advisory.
