Synopsis

The remote CentOS Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2023:4326 advisory.

- iperf3 before 3.14 allows peers to cause an integer overflow and heap corruption via a crafted length field. (CVE-2023-38403)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected iperf3 and / or iperf3-devel packages.
