Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of advancecomp installed on the remote host is prior to 1.15-22. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2023-2361 advisory.

 - A segmentation fault flaw was found in the Advancecomp package. This may lead to decreased availability.
 (CVE-2023-2961)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'yum update advancecomp' to update your system.
