Tenda AC Router Command Injection (CVE-2018-14558)

Synopsis

The remote router is affected by a command injection vulnerability.

Description

The firmware version of the Tenda AC Router is an AC7 device with firmware V15.03.06.44_CN(AC7) or below, an AC9 device with firmware V15.03.05.19(6318)_CN(AC9) or below, or an AC10 devices with firmware V15.03.06.23_CN(AC10) or below. It is, therefore, affected by a command injection vulnerability. An unauthenticated, remote attacker can exploit this, via a crafted goform/setUsbUnload request, to execute arbitrary OS commands.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to a newer version of device firmware.
