Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of golang / kured installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2021-44716 advisory.

 - net/http in Go before 1.16.12 and 1.17.x before 1.17.5 allows uncontrolled memory consumption in the header canonicalization cache via HTTP/2 requests. (CVE-2021-44716)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
