Synopsis

The remote host has an application installed that is missing a security update.

Description

A Jupyter extension spoofing vulnerability exists in Visual Studio Code when the installed Jupyter extension is prior to 2023.10.1100000000.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade Jupyter extension of VS Code to 2023.10.1100000000 or later.
