Synopsis
The remote Amazon Linux 2023 host is missing a security update.Description
It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2023-2023-426 advisory.- An issue was discovered in function ciMethodBlocks::make_block_at in Oracle JDK (HotSpot VM) 11, 17 and OpenJDK (HotSpot VM) 8, 11, 17, allows attackers to cause a denial of service. (CVE-2022-40433)
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
Solution
Run 'dnf update java-1.8.0-amazon-corretto --releasever 2023.2.20231030' to update your system.See Also
