Synopsis

An instance of Puppet Agent installed on the remote system is affected by multiple vulnerabilities.

Description

On December 9, 2020, curl published security updates addressing CVE-2020-8284, CVE-2020-8285, and CVE-2020-8286. Previous releases of Puppet Agent contain a vulnerable version of curl. For more information about this vulnerability, refer to the security announcement.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Puppet Agent version N/A or later.
