Description

The remote host is affected by the vulnerability described in GLSA-202310-20 (rxvt-unicode: Arbitrary Code Execution)

- The rxvt-unicode package is vulnerable to a remote code execution, in the Perl background extension, when an attacker can control the data written to the user's terminal and certain options are set.
(CVE-2022-4170)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

All rxvt-unicode users should upgrade to the latest version:
