Synopsis
The remote Amazon Linux AMI host is missing a security update.Description
The version of exim installed on the remote host is prior to 4.92-1.39. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the ALAS-2023-1860 advisory.- Exim SMTP Challenge Stack-based Buffer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability (CVE-2023-42116, CVE-2023-42117)
Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
