Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 16.04 ESM host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-5532-2 advisory.

- Bottle before 0.12.20 mishandles errors during early request binding. (CVE-2022-31799)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected python-bottle and / or python3-bottle packages.
