Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of firefox installed on the remote host is prior to 102.15.1-1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2FIREFOX-2023-016 advisory.

- VP9 in libvpx before 1.13.1 mishandles widths, leading to a crash related to encoding. (CVE-2023-44488)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
