Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for python-reportlab.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2023:5790 advisory.

- python-reportlab: code injection in paraparser.py allows code execution (CVE-2019-19450)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL python-reportlab package based on the guidance in RHSA-2023:5790.
