Synopsis

The remote Ubuntu host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Ubuntu 18.04 ESM / 20.04 ESM host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the USN-4872-1 advisory.

 - An issue was discovered in ssl.c in Axel before 2.17.8. The TLS implementation lacks hostname verification. (CVE-2020-13614)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected axel package.
