Synopsis

The remote device is missing a vendor-supplied security patch.

Description

The version of F5 Networks BIG-IP installed on the remote macOS host is prior or equal to 17.1.0 / 16.1.4 / 15.1.10 / 14.1.5 / 13.1.5. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the K000135040 advisory. An insufficient verification of data may allow an attacker elevation of privileges during the installation process of the BIG-IP Edge Client for macOS.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
