Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of frr installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2023-41359 advisory.

 - An issue was discovered in FRRouting FRR through 9.0. There is an out-of-bounds read in bgp_attr_aigp_valid in bgpd/bgp_attr.c because there is no check for the availability of two bytes during AIGP validation. (CVE-2023-41359)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
