Apache APISIX < 2.10.2 Security Bypass

high Nessus Plugin ID 181928

Synopsis

An application installed on the remote host is missing a vendor-supplied update.

Description

The version of Apache APISIX installed on the remote host is prior to 2.10.2. It is, therefore, potentially affected by a security bypass vulnerability. The uri-block plugin in Apache APISIX before 2.10.2 uses $request_uri without verification. The $request_uri is the full original request URI without normalization. This makes it possible to construct a URI to bypass the block list on some occasions.

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Apache APISIX version 2.10.2 or later.
