Description

The remote Debian 10 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the dla-3557 advisory.

- memcached 1.6.7 allows a Denial of Service via multi-packet uploads in UDP. (CVE-2022-48571)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the memcached packages.

For Debian 10 Buster, this problem has been fixed in version 1.5.6-1.1+deb10u1.
