Synopsis

The remote Oracle Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 5 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ELSA-2011-0028 advisory.

 - Linux kernel 2.6.33 and 2.6.34.y does not initialize the kvm_vcpu_events->interrupt.pad structure member, which allows local users to obtain potentially sensitive information from kernel stack memory via unspecified vectors. (CVE-2010-4525)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
