Synopsis

The remote Oracle Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ELSA-2020-1712 advisory.

 - Integer truncation in EDK II may allow an authenticated user to potentially enable escalation of privilege via local access. (CVE-2019-14563)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected edk2-aarch64 and / or edk2-ovmf packages.
