Synopsis

The remote Oracle Linux host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Oracle Linux 7 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ELSA-2019-2047 advisory.

 - libcgroup up to and including 0.41 creates /var/log/cgred with mode 0666 regardless of the configured umask, leading to disclosure of information. (CVE-2018-14348)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
