Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for python-requests.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2023:4520 advisory.

 - python-requests: Unintended leak of Proxy-Authorization header (CVE-2023-32681)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL python-requests package based on the guidance in RHSA-2023:4520.
