Synopsis
The remote Amazon Linux 2023 host is missing a security update.Description
It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2023-2023-245 advisory.- Python Packaging Authority (PyPA) setuptools before 65.5.1 allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service via HTML in a crafted package or custom PackageIndex page. There is a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) in package_index.py. (CVE-2022-40897)
Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Run 'dnf update python-setuptools --releasever 2023.1.20230719' to update your system.See Also
