Synopsis

A web browser installed on the remote Windows host is affected by a vulnerability.

Description

The version of Firefox ESR installed on the remote Windows host is prior to 115.0.2. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the mfsa2023-26 advisory.

- During the worker lifecycle, a use-after-free condition could have occured, which could have led to a potentially exploitable crash. (CVE-2023-3600)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to Mozilla Firefox ESR version 115.0.2 or later.
