Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

The remote Debian 10 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the dla-3423 advisory.

- In Epiphany (aka GNOME Web) through 43.0, untrusted web content can trick users into exfiltrating passwords, because autofill occurs in sandboxed contexts. (CVE-2023-26081)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the epiphany-browser packages.

For Debian 10 Buster, this problem has been fixed in version 3.32.1.2-3~deb10u3.
