The GitLab instance installed on the remote host is affected by vulnerability.

Description

The version of GitLab installed on the remote host is prior to 15.8.5, 15.9.4, 15.10.1. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the SECURITY-RELEASE-GITLAB-15-10-1-RELEASED advisory.

- A sensitive information disclosure vulnerability in GitLab affecting all versions from 15.0 prior to 15.8.5, 15.9 prior to 15.9.4 and 15.10 prior to 15.10.1 allows an attacker to view the count of internal notes for a given issue. This is a medium severity issue (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:L/PR:N/UI:N/S:U/C:L/I:N/A:N, 5.3). It is now mitigated in the latest release and is assigned CVE-2023-1710 (CVE-2023-1710)

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 15.8.5, 15.9.4, 15.10.1 or later.
