Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of sudo installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2023-27320 advisory.

 - Sudo before 1.9.13p2 has a double free in the per-command chroot feature. (CVE-2023-27320)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
