Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2 host is missing a security update.

Description

The version of nss installed on the remote host is prior to 3.79.0-4. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2-2023-1992 advisory.

- An attacker could construct a PKCS 12 cert bundle in such a way that could allow for arbitrary memory writes via PKCS 12 Safe Bag attributes being mishandled. (CVE-2023-0767)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.
