Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of curl installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2022-32208 advisory.

 - When curl < 7.84.0 does FTP transfers secured by krb5, it handles message verification failures wrongly.
 This flaw makes it possible for a Man-In-The-Middle attack to go unnoticed and even allows it to inject data to the client. (CVE-2022-32208)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
