Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of hyperv-daemons installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2022-4379 advisory.

 - A use-after-free vulnerability was found in __nfs42_ssc_open() in fs/nfs/nfs4file.c in the Linux kernel.
 This flaw allows an attacker to conduct a remote denial (CVE-2022-4379)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
