Synopsis

The remote CBL Mariner host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The version of opensc installed on the remote CBL Mariner 2.0 host is prior to tested version. It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the CVE-2021-42782 advisory.

- Stack buffer overflow issues were found in Opensc before version 0.22.0 in various places that could potentially crash programs using the library. (CVE-2021-42782)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Update the affected packages.
