The remote web application server is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability.

Description

The IBM WebSphere Application Server running on the remote host is affected by a remote code execution vulnerability.
IBM WebSphere Application Server 8.5 and 9.0 traditional could allow a remote attacker to execute arbitrary code on the system with a specially crafted sequence of serialized objects.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update to IBM WebSphere Application Server version 8.5.5.20, 9.0.5.8 or later.
