The version of Adobe Photoshop installed on the remote macOS or Mac OS X host is prior to 23.5.4/24.1.1. It is, therefore, affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the apsb23-11 advisory.

- Improper Input Validation (CWE-20) potentially leading to Arbitrary code execution (CVE-2023-21574)

- Out-of-bounds Write (CWE-787) potentially leading to Arbitrary code execution (CVE-2023-21575, CVE-2023-21576)

- Out-of-bounds Read (CWE-125) potentially leading to Memory Leak (CVE-2023-21577)

- Out-of-bounds Read (CWE-125) potentially leading to Arbitrary code execution (CVE-2023-21578)

Solution

Upgrade to Adobe Photoshop version 23.5.4/24.1.1 or later.
