Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2020:2567 advisory.

 - kernel: use-after-free in block/bfq-iosched.c related to bfq_idle_slice_timer_body (CVE-2020-12657)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected kpatch-patch-4_18_0-193 and / or kpatch-patch-4_18_0-193_1_2 packages.
