Synopsis

The remote Fedora host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Fedora 36 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the FEDORA-2023-18fd476362 advisory.

- In Async before 2.6.4 and 3.x before 3.2.2, a malicious user can obtain privileges via the mapValues() method, aka lib/internal/iterator.js createObjectIterator prototype pollution. (CVE-2021-43138)

- This affects the package thenify before 3.3.1. The name argument provided to the package can be controlled by users without any sanitization, and this is provided to the eval function without any sanitization.
(CVE-2020-7677)

- A vulnerability was found in the minimatch package. This flaw allows a Regular Expression Denial of Service (ReDoS) when calling the braceExpand function with specific arguments, resulting in a Denial of Service. (CVE-2022-3517)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected yarnpkg package.
