Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the RHSA-2023:0196 advisory.

 - OpenJDK: handshake DoS attack against DTLS connections (JSSE, 8287411) (CVE-2023-21835)

 - OpenJDK: soundbank URL remote loading (Sound, 8293742) (CVE-2023-21843)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected packages.
