The remote host is affected by the vulnerability described in GLSA-202301-06 (liblouis: Multiple Vulnerabilities)

- Liblouis through 3.21.0 has a buffer overflow in compilePassOpcode in compileTranslationTable.c (called, indirectly, by tools/lou_checktable.c). (CVE-2022-26981)

- Liblouis 3.21.0 has an out-of-bounds write in compileRule in compileTranslationTable.c, as demonstrated by lou_trace. (CVE-2022-31783)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.


All liblouis users should upgrade to the latest version:
