Synopsis

The remote Fedora host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote Fedora 35 host has a package installed that is affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the FEDORA-2022-c22feb71ba advisory.

- Adobe InDesign versions 16.4.2 (and earlier) and 17.3 (and earlier) are affected by an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that could lead to disclosure of sensitive memory. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to bypass mitigations such as ASLR. Exploitation of this issue requires user interaction in that a victim must open a malicious file. (CVE-2022-30674)

- libexpat before 2.4.9 has a use-after-free in the doContent function in xmlparse.c. (CVE-2022-40674)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected mingw-expat package.
