Synopsis

The remote Debian host is missing a security-related update.

Description

The remote Debian 10 host has a package installed that is affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the dla-3209 advisory.

- An issue in the fetch() method in the BasicProfile class of org.ini4j before v0.5.4 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via unspecified vectors. (CVE-2022-41404)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade the ini4j packages.

For Debian 10 buster, this problem has been fixed in version 0.5.4-1~deb10u1.
