Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for qt5.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2022:8022 advisory.

- qt: QProcess could execute a binary from the current working directory when not found in the PATH (CVE-2022-25255)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL qt5 package based on the guidance in RHSA-2022:8022.
