Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for mingw-gcc.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 9 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2022:8415 advisory.

 - gcc: uncontrolled recursion in libiberty/rust-demangle.c (CVE-2021-46195)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL mingw-gcc package based on the guidance in RHSA-2022:8415.
