Synopsis

The remote CentOS host is missing one or more security updates.

Description

The remote CentOS Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by multiple vulnerabilities as referenced in the CESA-2022:7514 advisory.

 - fribidi: Stack based buffer overflow (CVE-2022-25308)

 - fribidi: Heap-buffer-overflow in fribidi_cap_rtl_to_unicode (CVE-2022-25309)

 - fribidi: SEGV in fribidi_remove_bidi_marks (CVE-2022-25310)

Note that Nessus has not tested for these issues but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the affected fribidi and / or fribidi-devel packages.
