Synopsis

The remote Red Hat host is missing a security update for poppler.

Description

The remote Redhat Enterprise Linux 8 host has packages installed that are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the RHSA-2022:7594 advisory.

 - poppler: A logic error in the Hints::Hints function can cause denial of service (CVE-2022-27337)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Update the RHEL poppler package based on the guidance in RHSA-2022:7594.
