Synopsis

The remote host is affected by a vulnerability

Description

The 8.0.30 versions of MySQL Connectors installed on the remote host are affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the October 2022 CPU advisory.

- Vulnerability in the MySQL Connectors product of Oracle MySQL (component: Connector/C++ (OpenSSL)). Supported versions that are affected are 8.0.30 and prior. Easily exploitable vulnerability allows unauthenticated attacker with network access via multiple protocols to compromise MySQL Connectors. Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized read access to a subset of MySQL Connectors accessible data.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Apply the appropriate patch according to the October 2022 Oracle Critical Patch Update advisory.
