Synopsis

The remote Amazon Linux 2022 host is missing a security update.

Description

It is, therefore, affected by a vulnerability as referenced in the ALAS2022-2022-129 advisory.

 - Improper isolation of shared resources in some Intel(R) Processors may allow a privileged user to potentially enable information disclosure via local access. (CVE-2022-21233)

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Run 'dnf update microcode_ctl --releasever=2022.0.20220831' to update your system.
