GitLab < 15.0.5 / 15.1 < 15.1.4 / 15.2 < 15.2.1 Information Disclosure

medium Nessus Plugin ID 163997

Synopsis

A source control application running on the remote web server is affected by an information disclosure vulnerability.

Description

According to its self-reported version, the instance of GitLab running on the remote web server is prior to 15.0.5, 15.1 prior to 15.1.4, or 15.2 prior to 15.2.1. It is, therefore, affected by an information disclosure vulnerability where a maintainer could exfiltrate an integration's access token by modifying the integration URL such that authenticated requests are sent to an attacker controlled server.

Note that Nessus has not tested for this issue but has instead relied only on the application's self-reported version number.

Solution

Upgrade to GitLab version 15.05, 15.1.4, 15.2.1, or later.
